Happy Memorial Day, everyone! I hope that everyone had a wonderful time together. We had a great long weekend together as a family! We started off the weekend by spending Friday night at the Kane County Cougars game. Many of my students and their families were there, as it was the game celebrating the Ozzie Reading Club initiative. We had a great time, although Taylor was more interested in running up and down the hill on the side of the field than she was the actual game. She was also very, very upset with the men who were sitting next to us, because they put their peanut shells on the ground. She kept saying "oh no, somebody was not nice!" and talked about it the whole way home! In the car, she kept saying "I am so upset about the crumbs!" and "I will get the black broom and sweep it all up!". Gee, I wonder where she gets that from?!?
On
Saturday and Sunday, Sam was sick, so we spent the day in the kiddie
pool in the backyard. On Monday, we went to our neighbor's house for a
BBQ, which was a lot of fun! All of the kids played together so well.
Our neighbors have a chicken coop in the backyard, which was the
highlight of the party for Taylor! She was very brave going in there and
picking up the chickens!
